🌟 Midjourney Releases New Anime-like Style “Niji” (Version 6) and Style Reference Tool

Midjourney has refreshed its "Niji" style, a digital art style that draws inspiration from the vibrant world of anime. This new update includes new features including enhanced understanding for complex prompts and the ability to incorporate simple text directly onto images.

For those less inclined towards anime, the “style raw” option offers an alternative aesthetic. The full release promises greater artistic control with new features like “Vary (Region),” “Pan,” and “Zoom.

Midjourney also introduced a Style Reference tool, allowing you to introduce image-influenced styles. By adding --sref followed by image URLs to your prompt, the tool interprets the images as style guides, aiming to emulate their aesthetic and feel.

To utilize it, you need to specify image URLs for your image references, along with your text prompt. You can additionally adjust the “weight” or “influence of the reference style and set the overall style intensity with the --sw parameter.

This feature, compatible with both MidJourney Version 6 and Niji 6, promises future expansions like the "Consistent Character" function with a --cref prompt, focusing less on replicating forms and more on capturing style elements like lighting and color.
