TOP STORY
🥳 Figma releases “Sites”

This week, Figma released Figma Sites, Figma Make, Figma Draw, and Figma Buzz at its annual Config 2025 event.

These announcements aim to make Figma an all-in-one creation hub, empowering designers, developers, and marketers to go from idea to production on one platform (similar to Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva).

Here’s what was launched 👇️

1) Figma Sites: Turn designs into websites 💻️

With Figma Sites, you can now:

  • Build responsive websites using 50+ templates, breakpoints, and interactions like parallax scrolling or marquee effects.

  • Copy designs from Figma Design, pull in design system assets, or use Smart Blocks for pre-built, adaptive layouts.

  • Publish to the web with live HTML previews and custom domains, free through 2025 for Organization/Enterprise plans.

This new feature will be rolling out over the coming weeks. Figma also teased a CMS (content management system) for Sites, expected later this year, that would allow users to create and publish blog posts.

2) Figma Make: Turn text prompts into prototypes ⚙️

Figma Make, powered by Claude 3.5, will enable teams to generate high-fidelity prototypes or code from text prompts or existing designs.

With Figma Make, you can now:

  • Describe features like “add a publish button to this webpage” to create functional prototypes or code snippets instantly.

  • Modify designs by highlighting elements and using text instructions for real-time updates.

  • Collaborate seamlessly, with prototypes syncing across team workflows in Figma’s canvas.

Figma Make, rolling out soon, is a game-changer for cross-functional teams, with 30% of Figma’s Q4 2024 users being developers.

The feature is only available to teams or organizations that have AI features enabled.

3) Figma Draw: Create illustrations ✏️

Figma Draw introduces advanced vector editing, brushes, and creative tools to Figma users.

With Figma Draw, you can now:

  • Create illustrations with new fills, effects, brushes, and text-on-path for dynamic designs.

  • Use advanced tools like Lasso and Shape Builder for precise, expressive vector editing.

  • Integrate illustrations directly into Figma projects, streamlining design workflows.

The feature is available to Full seat users on paid plans and is rolling out in the coming weeks.

4) Figma Buzz: Create brand assets in bulk

Figma Buzz uses AI to produce on-brand assets at scale, directly competing with Canva for marketing and creative teams.

With Figma Buzz, you can now:

  • Generate marketing assets like social posts or banners using AI-driven customization.

  • Pull in design systems or use spreadsheet-driven inputs for consistent, high-volume outputs.

  • Create and share assets directly in Figma, speeding up campaign workflows.

The feature is available on all seats during beta and is rolling out soon.
