🤯 MidJourney v6 Releases, Adds Text Capabilities + More Realism

Midjourney version 6 has significantly enhanced its popular AI image generation model.

An essential advancement in Midjourney V6 is the model's ability to generate legible text within images, a previously unavailable capability in earlier versions and one that rival AI image generators like OpenAI’s DALL-E 3 and Ideogram have already introduced.

Despite the fantastic update, the training material used for this image model has been criticized due to its ability to generate copyrighted material with great accuracy.

💬 Premiere Pro’s Remove All “Pauses” + “Filler Words” One-Click Feature

Adobe Premiere Pro's December 2023 feature update included a filler word detection tool. This feature automatically identifies and removes unnecessary filler words like "ums" and "uhs" from both dialogue and transcriptions in video recordings.

1. Transcribe your video in Premiere Pro.

2. Click on [filler]

3. Select “Delete All”

You can also remove “pauses” or “silence” in your videos through the same method.

Instead of selecting [filler] in the transcribe, look for […] and click on “Delete All.”

These features are a part of Premiere Pro’s “Text-Based Editing.” If you want to learn more about its features, check out our video.

🎨 Canva Introduces 5 New Features: Grab Text, Blur Brush, Sketch To Life & More

1. Grab Text 🔠 

Canva added “Grab Text,” a feature that allows you to “grab“ text from images without needing the original design file.

Grab Text allows you to seamlessly extract and edit text from any photo or screenshot.

2. Blur Brush 🌫️ 

You can now use Canva’s new “Blur Brush,” a new feature in the “Blur” effect, to selectively blur parts of your photo, highlighting the subject and adjusting blur intensity.

3. Magic Media “Variations” 🔀 

Previously, you could generate four images simultaneously with Canva’s AI image generator, “Magic Media.” Now, you can refine your selection by choosing from “similar images” of your favorite images.

Simply select “generate more like this” to discover additional variations based on your initial concept.

4. Sketch-to-Image ✏️ 

With the Sketch to Life app in the Canva Apps Marketplace, you can transform your sketches and drawings into realistic images.

Just sketch your concept, add a text prompt, and let AI turn your idea into an image.

5. Enhance Any Image 🖼️ 

The Enhancer app, now in the Canva Apps Marketplace, resolves pixelated or blurry images with a single click, ensuring high-quality, clear photos.

🌀 Runway’s New “Ambient Motion,” Available for Motion Brush in “Gen-2”

You can now adjust the “ambient motion” of your selections inside Runway’s “Gen-2.”

Use the brush to select areas of an image you want to animate, adjust its intensity, and watch the magic happen.

Unlike their typical “Motion Brush,” you can add more “realistic” movement using this tool.

👕 Adobe Illustrator’s New “Mockup” and “Retype” Features Available in Beta

Adobe Illustrator’s Mockup Tool (currently in beta) lets you mimic art on packaging, mugs, t-shirts, and more.

It does this while preserving the shapes and edges when you place vector art on a raster item in Illustrator — adapting the vector art seamlessly and without damage.

Another feature that’s available in beta is “Retype.”

This feature allows you to modify fixed text in a raster image or outlined text and can replace it with compatible fonts from Adobe Fonts or your system.
